City Clerk Evelyn Zneimer is a long time resident and recognized community leader who wants to restore trust in local government. As a woman of color and immigration attorney, Evelyn brings diversity and an important viewpoint that is critically lacking in South Pasadena City Council representation, and is challenging an incumbent who declined to respond to Bike The Vote L.A.’s questionnaire. Evelyn has a passion for the environment, working with local congressmen and the City Council to establish the South Pasadena Nature Park and to help earn the designation of “Tree City USA” for South Pasadena.

In her response to Bike The Vote, Zneimer made it clear that she believes South Pasadena needs to improve the walking and biking infrastructure. Zneimer supports Vision Zero, and wants kids to feel comfortable walking and biking to school and providing adults with a viable alternative to driving. She recognizes that transportation is an integral and cost-effective component of environmental action, noting that walking and biking can help reduce Vehicle Miles Traveled, Greenhouse Gases, and help fight climate change. At a time when local budgets are strained, Zneimer offers a clear vision for taking action through innovation, coordination, and smart pilot projects. Bike The Vote L.A. is proud to endorse Evelyn Zneimer for South Pasadena City Council District 1.
